[X-Unix] Linux Distros for My B&W G3

Anyone here know of a good Linux Distro that will work well on my B&W G3, as well read a Mac OS Journaled HDD Connected via USB??  I just got done trying YDL  it didn't work well... wouldn't read my USB HDD as well actually run Apache and a webserver as well a FTP Client...Mainly I really just want to be able to access my USB HDD which was Formatted and loaded up with stuff in OS X 10.3.9 Know of any distro that can read it?
