[X-Unix] setenv missing!

My setenv command appears to be missing. When I try to use it I get:

-bash: setenv: command not found

It may have occurred after the 10.4.1 update, not sure. The last
thing I used it for was toggling the open-firmware security level.

My $PATH seems fine, does anyone know where setenv resides and/or
have any guesses why it might go missing?

PS: a brief review seems to show other commands (that I use at least)
are present and working
