Other access points in the area (from other manufacturers) continue to be available in the AirPort signal menu bar. This also happens to a few of my clients who also have AirPorts. My only fix that I can find is to unplug the AirPort and then plug it back in a few moments later. This will most always be an immediate fix but it may not last long.

Don't know if it's related to your issue, but whenever I try to access movie trailers there, the download starts, then it poops out about 25% of the way, then I loose the airport completely (and so do other clients). Restart is the only fix, along with visiting the movie's web page for trailers instead of the iTMS. Is it possible that certain internet sites (or types of links) can hose the Airport's connectivity? Maybe ask your users if they were downloading something that got stuck or visited a page that refused to load?

I'm not seeing this correlation. It will just not be there and then will reappear minutes later.

There are two kinds of people, those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group. There is less competition there.
