[X4U] How to find IP address of printer

Looking to get a 16/600 off of ebay so I can have a laser printer for 
OS X Jaguar. After googling many times, getting the feel of what to do.

The 16/600 is supported under Jaguar. But how do you find the printer's 
IP address? I am assuming I hook it up via my router (via an ethernet 
cable), would it automatically show up?

I don't want to get this printer if I can't figure that part out!
