: TiVo is "nearly" mpeg-2 and not 100% compatible. Plus there needs to be a
: way to get it from the TiVo to the Mac. I'm using a Plextor ConvertX PVR
: with EyeTV to import from TiVo. It doesn't have all of the features of
: iMovie, but working with mpeg-2 is so much faster.
:
: Editing TiVo files also leads to sync problems where audio/video no longer
: macth up.

Have you tried ExportToQT or ffmpegX?
