[X4U] Flash 7 install failing

I've been trying to load Flash 7 onto my mac without any luck.  It 
downloads and runs okay, but then it fails with the message:

Error creating file, Access denied error.

then another follow on message:

You do not have enough access privileges for this installation.

I think it may be getting hung up because it is looking at my back up 
drives (firewire) or something like that.  But I'm not positive.

Anyone seen this, and better still, no how to get around it?  This is 
on OSX 10.3.9.			-Bob
