I don't have 50 email addresses, but even I would like this feature 
even with 3-4

Work email = 5-10 minutes

Personal email = 30 minutes

List email = hour

There's no need to tax the servers every 5 minutes for my list mail 
that I mainly read once a day.

who hopes that new Mail.app will remember to check IMAP mailboxes 
besides INBOX more regularly, so he doesn't have to click Go Offline 
and then Get Mail to have fetching for all mailboxes updated
