[X4U] [OT] Cleaning A Laptop Screen...

I've never noticed any kind of residue. I buy these no-name ones maybe they
have less soap in them? They say no rinsing required. I clean my digital
cameras with them too (except the lens which I clean with proper lens
cleaner and tissue) and no problems either.
