I would say, that, generally, in most cases, it is correct. You might find a
set of hardware that doesn't connect to the Airport base...it depends on how
closely everyone has hewn to 802.x standards.

I'd tell your friend that, yes, you can be reasonably certain that any
computer will connect...with the above caveat.

I've seen too much to believe that *every* combo of hardware will work
together seamlessly.
