I'm with you on that one.

Just one problem. I don't think the recording companies would go for 
that without some severe restrictions. If you could download ALC and 
burn it to CD, you've got a "perfect" copy with no protection.

OTOH, I walk into a store and plunk down some cash for the CD and i've 
got the same thing.
