This isn't the first time that 'news' organizations have reported  
that Apple is going to be using x86 chips.. and all previous reports  
have turned out to be false, as this one will.  Its probably for an i/ 
o controller chip or something like that.

Personally, I don't believe it (as far as CPUs go). Simply because it  
would require all customers to buy new machines, new OS, and all new  
versions of ALL their software...it'd kill Apple. Plus, Apple would  
lose the control over the whole widget that they enjoy now, which is  
part of what ensures that stuff 'just works'.
