[X4U] iPod question

 Some of the things that I listen to on the iPod are speech that are
sometimes 30 to 60 minutes long.

I notice that the fast forward / rewind buttons move about one minute of
time in about 3-4 seconds ( second second rough guess).... However, often I
would like to be able to move much faster - either forward or reverse...



Example:  my older RIO  mp3 player would move faster and faster the longer
you held it down.... 2x - then 4x etc.......
