Hi Samantha,

I don't know if this will be of any help to you. I have had problems
with my PowerBook not waking up after sleeping overnight. By not
waking up I mean a black screen. To get back in business it is
necessary to do a forced restart:

Since I am still under warranty, I call Apple. One of the thinks they
had me do was to "Rest the Power Management," whatever that is.

On my PowerBook that is achieved by disconnecting the power cord,
removing the battery, and then holding down the power button for 10
seconds. If yours is a desktop, I presume you would just pull the
power plug.

Hope this helps,

Jim
