FWIW data recovery has been becoming much more affordable over the last
couple (??) of years. As I said in my last message, specialists seem to
have discovered sliding scales with discounts for home users who don't
mind if the job isn't done for a week. I was quoted £85 + VAT, plus
£1.50 per 1GB, which makes it remarkably affordable. I think small
business customers pay about twice as much with a turnaround time of 3
or 4 days, and corporate customers will pay several hundred with a next
day service.
