I don't know the answer, but would surmise that at least 50% larger than what
you're backing up. However, if you're almost full now, you best get another HD
for that machine (if it can hold more than one) or an external, bootable
FireWire HD and start backing up what you have now and freeing some space or
you're going to experience difficulties. FWHDs up to 300 GB are available for
under $200. Since Leopard isn't coming until next spring, you're living on the
edge right now.
