[X4U] lingering "connecting to server" window

I get that from time to time - since the upgrade to 10.4. It's usually an 
indication it's time for me to reboot.

I connected to another mac from this mac, yet the "connecting to 
server" window keeps hangin around with it's little grey and white 
barber pole thing goin on...

what up with that?

didn't it get the memo that server was connected?
