[X4U] internet connection time

Hello,

Recently I helped a friend change over from OS 9 to OS X.  The first thing she missed when
she started up in OS X was the ability to see the time she was in the Internet, displayed in the
menu bar.  In the PPPoE settings one can have a symbol displayed when one is in the Internet
but what she was used to seeing was the amount of time.  Is that available anywhere in the 
system?
