Go_Connect to server with ftp is one way only in OS neXt.

I blame paranoia on the part of Steve but it's not likely to change.

Delivered with OS neXt, curl is quality software and easily applescripted with do shell script.

If you must have a GUI procedure think Interarchy from Stairways but there are others - Fetch.

If you can ssh to the AIX box you can thing about using rcp and scp.
