[X4U] Norton 10 stops machine

Of course on the fourth time I try it doesn¹t kill the machine.

I¹m on an Intel iMac with Norton Anti-virus 10 on it (required by work) and
without fail every time I run update everything it stops the entire machine
dead in its tracks. It looks like an OS9 freeze where the mouse still works
but that¹s it. Apple+Option+Esc also does nothing. It requires holding the
power button until it shuts off. Anyone else noticed this?
