[X4U] Weird iMovie Import problem

I've got a weird problem. I've got iMovie HD 5.0.2 (111) on a PPC iMac with
10.3.9 and a Canon Elura 70 Mini DV. When you connect it to the computer and
iMovie it sees the camera and you can control the camera play etc...from
iMovie but no video shows up on the screen it stays blue but if you look on
the camera you can see the video playing. If you try to import something
nothing happens. Now we've got another G5 with the same version of iMovie
and when you plug the camera in there it works just fine. Any ideas on
what's going wrong?
