I did not see a crash but the ads would not play for me.

But Safari is not to blame. I have an ad-blocker installed "SafariBlock" and
configured it to filter content with paths like this */ads* ... and guess
what, Apple's new spots match that condition.

Do you possibly have a similar setup?
