[X4U] intel mac and hp plotter

hi

i've just installed 3 24" imacs and 2 mac pros. all have the latest  
system software (10.4.8).

i'm trying to plot to an hp designjet 800ps plotter and so for have  
been unsuccessful, whereas when i print from my g4 powerbook, i have  
no issues.

are there any know issues or workarounds concerning intel macs and hp  
printers/plotters?
