You should have your friend move any Adobe preferences out of the main
Library/Preferences folder. Move them to desktop and if the problem
persists they can be returned.

I have also read an article some time back on how the "Legal" folder can
cause quit issues... how I don't know and with CS or CS2 I can't remember.
The directives were to just delete all the Legal folders from each of the
CS app folders.

Has your friend checked their directory with something like Disk Warrior?

Have they looked up the Photoshop Crash Logs in the Console app?

Just a few things I'd do.

Cheers,

Coj

[X4U] photoshop cs quitting

I have a friend that has a G4 Running 10.3.9, 448 meg ram and is running
photoshop cs version 8.0. Over the last couple of weeks every time she
goes to save photoshop quits. We have tried DisableGetInfoComment.plugin.
We have deleted and reinstalled. We have created a new user. With a new
user it did save 3 times without quitting but it went back to quitting. At
this moment it looks like a wipe and reload which I 'm not looking forward
to doing. Any ideas on how to fix this would really be appreciated.. Bob
