[X4U] Spinning BeachBall Delay in Finder

Björn and the list,

Hi! Thanks...

Finder preferences have been deleted a number of times and have
forced quit finder after that, and Finder is NOT trying to connect to
a network device. It is a stand alone computer and not normally
connected to the internet. I have looked to see if that is a problem
but it appears not. (My connect to server box is empty, and the last
time I used that option was more than a year ago....)

Have you deleted the Finder preferences, too? (Then force-quit the
Finder.)

As for the underlying reason: Could the Finder be trying to connect,
to a network device that is not available? For example some ftp, smb
or WebDAV share?

Björn
