I know painter 7 isn't the latest, but I'm curious why, just sitting there, Painter will slurp up so much CPU power? I mean, the file I have open right now has been saved, no operations pending, that computer is doing nothing otherwise, and Painter hoovers up 53% or more of the CPU cycles, according to activity monitor. jeepers! nk
