[X4U] Safari woes!

Created new user. The problem remains. Safari opens up and dies  
immediately. It worked perfectly for the last 3 or for years and then  
this morning after turning the computer on Safari crashed.
The only thing I added recently was the new build of Mac OS 10  
through Software Update. It worked well until this AM. I have no  
other problem except with Safari - not the new version which some  
issues. I downloaded the combo today, would running the combo helps  
or not? Do I have anything to loose doing it? TIA
