Based on some quick googling, Mirror Agent is a component of .Mac. To keep
this from happening, you can disable iDisk or open the .Mac pane in System
Preferences and change the setting from "Automatically" to "Manually" for
the "Create a local copy of your iDisk."

It also sounds like this hasn't always solved the problem.
