[X4U] iMac startup problem

Depends on what you mean by the unsuccessful restarts. If the built in  
battery is dead . . . then it will default back to some earlier date  
(Steve's birthday in 1944 or 54 maybe?) and may refuse to start from  
the keyboard

If it crashes partway through the boot process . . . then that may be  
another issue.

What exactly is it doing when it "doesn't restart"?
