[X4U] OK with cron tasks if apps left running?

No, those are just regular console messages. You need to open Console,  
then go to LOG FILES in the lefthand window, then go to /var/log, then  
go to daily.out or monthly.out or weekly.out. Here's my current  
daily.out that Anacron produced shortly after I turned on my iMac this  
morning:

The beauty of Anacron is that I don't have to do anything. Anacron  
does it for me every time I turn on my iMac. Yes, I could go into  
Terminal and issue commands, but why should I have to learn how to do  
that and spend the time (if I remember) to do it, when Anacron  
automatically does it for me? What's the point of having a GUI  
(graphic user interface) if I have to acquire Deep Geek knowledge and  
skills to do a task that a simple GUI-installed utility will do for  
me? Unless it's proving I'm a geek ... which is unnecessary, at least  
for me.
