[X4U] iTunes to AppleTV transfers

Lately the sync between iTunes and our Apple-TV have been failing to  
connect.
The "Sync in progress" bar in iTunes shows the items as being  
transfered but at the end they are
not showing up in the A TV menus, either in the iTunes side bar or in  
the TV menus.
Not sure when this started, but it became obvious when we updated to  
Snow Leopard.
Now even when we switch back to Leopard the problem persists.
Both SL and L are on their own Firewire external drives, both have  
been updated as has iTunes
and the firmware on all units are up to date.
Any ideas, suggestions?
