I don't know anything about the SMU (possibly you meant the PMU
(<http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1431>) or the SMC
(<http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964>)}, but as far as installing lower
OSversions, see <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2186> and
<http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1159>.
