[X4U] Extracting still shots from a DVD

Hi listees,

A client came to me Saturday wanting individual car shots extracted from a video he made of a Classic car show he organised. I am totally unused to video, but decided I had to RIP first, which I did with Handbrake. Then I imported into iMovie. Am I on the right track so far and how do I proceed to extract an individual shot for printing? I tried to view iMovie Help but could not determine what to do from there.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
