[X4U] Widget Defaults

Can anyone point me to some instructions to set the default font i OSX Widgets.  The Stickies app.  I found some instructions for 10.4 sickies but they do not work for Snow Leopard.  I found the .js file that defines the default font in the Widgets library but I've not been able to save any changes to the file even after changing my permissions for the file and containing folders. 

Also not sure if permissions is what O need to change when trying to change the content of the Stickies widget package. Anyone know how ti change the Stickies default fonts?
