[X4U] iPad remote problems

I successfully installed Lion on my iPad 2.8 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Core 2 Duo machine.

Except, the iPad remote pairing "toggle" usually found in Security under preferences is nowhere to be found. On other machines with Lion, I've noticed a radio button to turn on or off infrared.

On my iPad, at the exact same page, this information is missing.

Has anyone else come accross this yet?

Are there other work arounds to get my iPad remote working again. It works, I've tried it on other machines, just not mine.
