
Not really knowing anything about how spotlight works and not much

about how Google works, (big assumption follows) I imagine that the

results to a search such as Woody Allen would be sorted by

relevance.&nbsp; Therefore documents which contained the string &quot;Woody

Allen&quot; would appear at the top of the results list, followed by

documents containing both &quot;Woody&quot; and &quot;Allen&quot;, followed by documents

containing only &quot;Woody&quot;, followed by documents containing only

&quot;Allen&quot;.&nbsp; The last two are questionable as it depends on whether

the two terms are AND-ed or OR-ed.&nbsp; Assuming this is the case, the

search for Woody Allen would return the document you are looking for in

the top of a list of many results and all searching for the string

&quot;Woody Allen&quot; would do is return less results.&nbsp; The

user-friendliness of this interface is probably debatable and I imagine

this was probably a good debate among the Tiger

developers/marketers/etc.&nbsp; <br>
