<FONT SIZE="5"><FONT FACE="Lucida Grande"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:12pt'>I want to copy the contents of my boot drive to make an exact , bootable copy. I am using Disk Utility. After selecting the source volume (the drive I booted from) and the destination, I started the process. After calculating the time to complete it says it will take over 2 days.<BR>

My question is – can I use my boot drive for email and web surfing during this time or do all applications (except Disk Copy and the finder) need to be closed?<BR>
