Palm Tungsten T and T68i - dialup connection (OT?)

Hi,
I just joined the list hoping to get some help.  I recently purchased a 
Palm Tungsten T and I would love to be able to use it along with my 
T68i to connect to a dial-up connection rather than using the AT&T GPRS 
network (mMode can get expensive if I surf too much).  I've tried using 
the PhoneLink App to setup my Palm to connect to the T68i and dial my 
Yahoo dialup # (and I've tried several different #'s in the area for 
Yahoo dialup), but the Palm just shows "Connecting" and eventually 
times out.

Any suggestions?  What am I missing?
