This isn't the answer you are looking for, but is a good suggestion
even if one is not having problems.
One major problem for users of notebooks is neck strain since the
screen sits low on the desk and you have to lean your head forward, not
very good for the user and leads to neck pain. Also, the keyboard
really sucks from an ergonomic point of view.
So, I use an Apple Pro keyboard and the new optical mouse connected to
my Powerbook via usb. I rest the tiBook on a Podium Coolpad, even
though I have advocated using free cd containers, and the Coolpad rests
on a box about 6 + inches high. This places the screen at eye level and
eliminates the neck pain. The Pro Keyboard is also much nicer to type
on than the Powerbook keyboard.
This minimizes but does not eliminate your touchpad problems.
Now if Apple would put Blueteeth in the next Powerbook, the keyboard
and the mouse, I'd buy in.

Did anyone notice that the Turkey pardoned by the President was one of
those mutant turkeys bred to have large breasts and therefore cannot
walk?
