You can get AppleCare in FL *if* you register it under the name of a 
business. Florida's tough pro-consumer laws (which include 
our-state-only type oddities such as mandatory lightning damage 
coverage and three-day return allowances) are the reason that AppleCare 
can't be sold to individuals.

And no, this is not a gray-area end-run around the law ... Apple 
encourages this as the exemption for businesses is written right into 
the law. Once you have AppleCare, the warranty will be honoured exactly 
as if you had bought it in any other state.
