You can get AppleCare in FL *if* you register it under the name of a business. Florida's tough pro-consumer laws (which include our-state-only type oddities such as mandatory lightning damage coverage and three-day return allowances) are the reason that AppleCare can't be sold to individuals. And no, this is not a gray-area end-run around the law ... Apple encourages this as the exemption for businesses is written right into the law.
