I saw this at the local Applestore, it is indeed very nice, especially the model that will work like a Tivo. And if my PC laptop had firewire and there were drivers for the PC, I would probably feel okay to spend that much money on it, sorta think of it as splitting the cost between the two. But its only mac specific unfortunately, and the PC would be the one being used with the converter more. I was hoping there was one that was cross platform however. I've got a few leads on a couple Belkin and Dazzle converters that plug into USB. Anyone ever use either to do video input? Thanks Alric --- You wrote: Have you checked out the Formac Studio? (now called Studio DV or DVTV if with TV tuner) It can convert almost anything to anything (s-video, rca, firewire, audio and video, tv and radio tuner) and uses firewire connection. IMHO, only drawback is price. <http://www.formac.com/p_bin/?cid=solutions_converters_studiodvtv> HTH, --- end of quote ---
