Yes, you can find USB versions of Lacie CDRW's and Iomega's Predator CDRW. Both apparently work very very well. So it'll burn slower than a firewire drive, its still not a huge issue, unless your life depends upon it and you have more CD burning deadlines than you can shake an American President at, which I don't.
