Uh, no. I can play WMV files that exist on my hard drive with it. Of 
course, I too prefer mplayerOSX, but the point is that WiMP *does* play 
most of them just fine.

I am told that later this summer a totally new version of WiMP for the 
Mac will be released that will give us more-or-less codec parity with 
the Windows version. Gee, only 6 years late.
