Having just gone through this agony, and lack of detailed information... and successfully completed nearly exactly the kind of set up you are describing (except I'm running 10.2.4 on my iBook, 9.0.4 on my Power Computing Machine). Check the CD Rom which the base station software shipped with. It has a document called "Designing Airport Networks." Look for your described set up. For your current set up, is your TCP/IP on your machine set to "Manually" for the ethernet settings? If so, you have static IP addressing and need to check the radio button on "network" for configuring the base station that says "DHCP only"... which is counterintuitive for me, but may make sense to people who really understand networking. Look in TCP/IP on your desktop machine to see the settings. If manually, you will likely find the subnet mask and router address there. Your subnet mask is very likely: 255.255.255.0 Your router address is very likely one of two possibilities: 10.0.1.1 or 10.0.0.1 Good luck! Because, this is about as much help as I'm likely to be.
