I especially like yellow submarine.  It is easy to tweek the widgets 
too.  I hate red, so for the mail widget I opened the  package (control 
click on widget), put the png files into photoshop and changed the 
color to bright green.  I also opened the file  itself in apple script 
so it reads just "mail" instead of "new messages."
