Yup - that's it. When the white iBooks first came out the big mod was 
to put a new pic behind the clear apple.  Combining this idea with a 
paintless, cleared iBook -- couldn't you carefully assemble a paper cut 
out/drawing under the clear plastic cover and have a changeable (albiet 
not easy) pattern??
