removing OS 9?

wow! was that a great Expo or what?
Apple never ceases to amaze me with their designs and attention to 
detail.
I thought it was one of the best Expos of the last 2 or 3.
Jobs really seemed to be into this one too. You can tell when he's 
having a good time showing off the goodies.

As soon as the Expo was over I headed up to the Apple store and 
purchased my new 12" Combo iBook w/airport card to replace my KeyLime 
iBook.
(although the new 12" Powerbook had me drooling all over my iMac, its a 
little out my price range...)

my question for the list is this.
On my new iBook can I just delete the OS 9 Application Folder and OS 9 
System Folders?
I no longer have any use for 9 and if I did, wouldn't Classic take care 
of anything that might pop up?

I thought about reformatting the HD and just installing Jaguar but I 
don't really feel like resetting everything at this time.
