[P1] Problems? with iBook 700mhz and OS10.2.3

Hi All,

I'm new to the list. I have an iBook 700 mhz 128 mb ram and an airport
setup. No modifications. I've loaded 10.2 then upgraded to 10.2.3 via
the Apple website without problems. I have noticed a couple of
glitches, however:

1. I know that I have minimal ram and performance suffers as a result,
BUT... I have noticed that the start up time is longer before the dock
comes up. The new redesigned kaleidoscope spinning thing spins a lot
longer while the windows open/are generated. I just thought that with
Quartz Extreme it would at least perform as fast as 10.1.5, not
slower/more jittery.
2. I noted that when waking from sleep the computer misreads the
battery time. For instance, say I know that I have over an hour of
battery life left. I put the computer to sleep for moments. When I wake
the computer (lifting the lid) The computer opens a window that says
"reserve battery..plug in now...yada, yada". The remaining battery
time in the toolbar reads 3 minutes, than slowly increases to, say, 20
minutes, then the computer goes to sleep mode (looks like a total
battery drain). Either way, dead battery or not, why is it a misread
problem since I installed 10.2.3? (Previous version worked flawlessly).

Thanks,
Paul
