OT:Apple eNews question

this is a little off topic (but I do read my eMail on my iBook)

I subscribe it Apple's eNews and Quicktime News.
In OS 9 I used Outlook Express and i could save eNews in HTML format so 
that it would look like a web page..
then I would use Outlook to view whenever.

How can I do this with Mail?
when I try to save now, I get a file but when I open it,  its empty.
I could subscribe to as text but I like the HTML version better.
Hopefully I'm just missing something obvious.
