Probably not, unless you can find out from the person you bought it 
from.

I was concerned that a second-hand purchase wouldn't be covered by 
AppleCare, but I couldn't find anything that specifies that this would 
make the equipment inelligible; even so, I don't think I'd be too quick 
to bring that point up.
