Yeah Descent, totally forgot about that! Was one of the first 
multi-player games I played on a Mac on a network with some co-workers! 
Was a really cool game. One other multiplayer game we played that time 
was DoomII, but what about Marathon, that was cool on a network!

My vote goes to Duke Nukem 3D, an OS X port is almost ready:

That were a lot of sleepless nights at the time that Duke Nukem 3D was 
released :-)
BTW Snood is also an addictive game!
